Instead of getting the ferry into Istanbul, like all normal people, I decided that I wanted to cycle into it. I wanted the buzz of having ridden into the city on my own and let me tell you, it was a buzz!
For two days prior, I was riding on straight and flat busy main roads and I was pulling some serious millage. Between 80 to 90 km days, and the traffic was getting heavier and heavier.
Day three, came and it was my time to ride in. Fueled up on coffee, I set off on the +100 km day. Every few km, more and more cars, buses, and taxis came. I powered up on a joint and a can of Monster and got on my way for the final 40 km. It was total carnage.
